Man survives heart attack thanks to CRTD technology
From being completely bedridden and counting his last days,to attending board meetings and going for evening walks today,78-years-old Kehar Singh,a retired IFS officer has overcome the oddities of life through medical care and a heart implant called as CRT and CRTD. Talking to media persons,Cardiologist & Executive Director prime heart Institute,Dr Puneet Verma said that heart failure and sudden cardiac arrest were two fall outs of severe coronary artery disease (CAD) or acute blockages in arteries of Kehar Singh in 2002.
PUSU demands help desks for admission
Panjab University Students Union (PUSU) under the leadership of its president Jajwinder Singh Sidhu in the presence of senior leaders Simranjit Singh Dhillon and Simrandeep Singh Sandhu submitted a memorandum seeking the immediate set up of help desks on the campus for admissions. The students demanded that as the admission process in the university has already started.
UGI offers toppers free higher education
The Universal Group of Institutions (UGI) has offered to provide free higher technical education to ten toppers of Class XII examination of CBSE and Haryana Board of Ambala district. The decision of the UGI chairman Dr Gurpreet Singh was announced at the felicitation ceremony organized at Ambala Cantonment on Thursday where Mohinder Kumar,Secretary to Haryana Governor was the chief guest. Over 350 meritorious students were honoured on the occasion.
