Woman doctor slaps patient,inquiry ordered

Authorities at the government hospital in Sector 6 in Panchkula have ordered an inquiry into an incident of slapping of a woman by a lady doctor. The inquiry has been ordered against a lady doctor,Dr Cheri,after a woman,Suman Devi,of Indra Colony,complained that she was slapped by her on Tuesday night after she called out to her,complaining of bleeding. The woman has alleged that the doctor got infuriated for being called out at around 12:30 am. TA complaint was written to the civil surgeon of the hospital,Dr V K Bansal,who said that the lady doctor was removed from duties at the labour room. Officiating Principal Medical Officer (PMO) of the hospital,Dr Sanjeev Trehan,said that the hospital administration has ordered an inquiry into the incident. Hospital officials said that earlier as well,a complaint of the slapping of a woman had been lodged by a patient against the doctor. Trehan said that the during the inquiry,the doctor will be called out for questioning in the matter.
