PGI,WHO hold joint seminar

Chandigarh: A seminar on Health Promoting Hospitals was organised by the Department of Hospital Administration,PGIMER,in association with World Health Organisation. This is the second seminar cum workshop organised by PGI in series as part of the WHO project in making PGIs Nehru Hospital a health promoting hospital.

Yoga competition at Tender Heart School

Chandigarh: An inter school yoga competition was organised in Tender Heart School on August 16,wherein Saupins School bagged four major prizes. Ishita Khanna from Class V secured third position in Group II,while in Group III (boys),Anthony and Dhananjay of Class VII secured first and second positions respectively. In Group IV (girls),Aanchal from Class VI secured second position.

Toy drive to be conducted

Chandigarh: The Childrens Hospital,Mansa Devi Complex,Panchkula,has announced Toy Drive 2011 for the underprivileged children . The toys will be collected from children by roping in some schools and the underprivileged will be given these toys on Diwali,which coincides with this cause. The Toy Drive is being organised in collaboration with Indian Council of Social Welfare (ICSW).

Prayer meeting to be held

Chandigarh: A prayer meeting in the memory of Meera Punchhi,wife of Madan Mohan Punchhi,former Chief Justice of India will be held at Arya Samaj Mandir on August 18.
