Ambala: 905 challans issued

Around 905 challans were issued,including 696 to people riding without helmets,while 241 underage riders were let off with a warning during a traffic drive in Ambala district on Monday.

As part of the initiative to curb violations and educate people about traffic rules,around 200 police personnel were deputed to man 55 nakas in the district between 9 am and 12 pm.

The focus was to challan and educate people regarding the use of helmets while driving a two-wheeler. All main points were visited by all the ACP’s of the district and Panchkula ACP Vinod Kumar was on a special visit to make the exercise a success.
