Education increasingly is no longer just about scoring high percentages and attaining degrees. At Dikshant Global School they believe it’s a process of continuous learning that aims to develop overall personality of the students. Moving a step further the School has introduced ‘Theatre Curriculum’ under which the students will be taught theatre studies as a subject in their course. The theatre course will be designed by Bollywood’s own Piyush Mishra. An actor, music director, writer, singer and a theatre director,Mishra, who has recently joined the school’s Board of Directors,is a multi-faceted personality who love all his roles. Trained at the National School of Drama,he has pursued theatre for 20 years and forayed into the big screen eight years back. In the recent ‘Gulaal’,he made his debut as a music director. “I did not have any formal training in any field of cinema. It all happened naturally to me,” says Piyush, who is also a painter. Though theatre has a small audience as compared to cinema,he believes that both have their own niche. Despite the fact that theatre always needs more hard work and effort, his love for stage never fades. “Every bit of me,my acting, singing, direction all reflects my theatre oriented mind,” he says. To which,Mitul Dikshit,Director,Dikshant Group of Schools says,“We are lucky to have him with us. With his vast experience, students will have a lot to learn from him.”
