Every month requires a different move and a new expression. Ask Zees Dance India Dance Season 2 winner Shakti Mohan,who has posed for a calendar called Nritya Shakti,depicting the New Year in 12 dance postures. The calendar has been conceptualised by her and shot by well-known fashion photographer Pravin Talan.

Dance India Dance brought me in touch with Pravin Talan,who has worked on photo shoots with Fashion TV. He suggested that I should make a dance calendar, says Mohan. She then profiled some of her contemporary dance steps with Talan and started the project.

The limited edition calendar also has on board Mohans sister,Mukti,who is also a dancer and model. Mukti has designed Shaktis costume and the look for the calendar along with stylist Josie. The calendar required a lot of hard work and decision making. I never imagined that producing a calendar could be so taxing. If my sisters,Mukti and Niti,not been there,this calendar would probably not have seen the light of day, she says.

The coming months will also see Mohan hone her talent for dance further. I plan to fly to New York and train in international forms of dance, she adds
