6 medics booked

Amritsar district police booked six interning doctors in connection with a brawl at Amritsar Medical College. The accused have been identified as Raj Kumar,Santokh Singh,Ramandeep Kanda,Ramandeep Singh and Loveleen. Sources said the accused were inebriated when they clashed with a group of first-year MBBS students. Other first-year students joined them and allegedly attacked a car belonging to the accused. Majitha Road Police Station SHO Joginder Singh said a case has been registered and efforts were being made to arrest them. Students of the medical college staged a protest on Monday and gheraoed the principal’s office to demand action against the accused.
