200 challaned for traffic violation

The Chandigarh Police challaned nearly 200 traffic violators during the four hours special checking,from 11 pm and continued till 3 am,on Friday night. Around 88 check posts were set up in various parts of the city. While there were 66 check posts set up by the Chandigarh Police,22 joint checking posts were set up by the police station and traffic police.

All IPS officers,including senior superintendents of police,superintendents of police,deputy superintendents of police,station house officers,inspectors,crime branch,operation cell staff etc. were pressed into service. The drive was supervised by senior police officials,who remained out in the field through out the night.
