The staff immediately informed the Electronic city police and rushed him to a hospital. (Express Photo) A 24-year-old software engineer working at Wipro Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru was found dead in a hotel room on Tuesday. The police suspect that the software engineer died by suicide.
The deceased has been identified as Yagnik Sujith, a native of Sakleshpur of Hassan district. On August 16, Sujith had attended examinations for the M Tech course.
A police officer said that the incident came to light around 12 noon on Tuesday when he did not respond to the calls made by the hotel staff. “He was staying at the Royal Inn hotel located on Niladri road in Electronic city police limits. On Tuesday, he was scheduled to check out at 12 noon. The hotel staff, who went to check whether he wanted to vacate or continue his stay, knocked on the door. However, there was no response from his end. Sensing something was wrong, the staff used the master key and opened the door to see him lying unconscious in the room.”

Asked for a reason behind the death, a police officer said they are yet to ascertain and want to question his parents, friends and colleagues at the office.
