Gujarat Confidential: Ved Prakash takes charge as Ahmedabad’s Divisional Railway Manager

Ved Prakash, an officer of the 1998 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), assumed charge as the new Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Ahmedabad Division, on Friday. He succeeded Sudhir Kumar Sharma. Prior to this, Prakash was the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister of Railways. He was involved in the planning and execution of social media engagement strategies for the ministry, coordinating over 1,000 events related to train inaugurations, dedications and foundation stone ceremonies, a statement by the Western Railway said. Prakash, completed his BSc (honours) in Geology from St Columba’s College, Hazaribagh, and was also part of a management development programme at Railway Staff College, Vadodara, now National Academy for Indian Railways (NAIR).
