State sets new rules for bore wells

Following Supreme Court’s instructions to take action to save children from falling into bore wells and tube wells,the state government has issued new guidelines making it mandatory for anyone wanting to dig a bore well to inform the concerned officials of the respective local body in advance. The Gujarat Water Resource Development Board plans to make the registration of all agencies digging bore wells compulsory.
