Regarding financial requirements,she said Shehzad never supported her in the last 10 years of marriage. “I ran tuition classes and helped the local people in getting their work done at police stations and courts,which earned me enough for myself and my children. In fact,many times Shehzad took money from me as he spent all his income on gambling.” she said.

Reshma was first married to one Ashraf in West Bengal at the age of 18. The couple settled down in the Shah Alam area but Ashraf left her and their son for another woman. Reshma’s second marriage was to Shehzad who was already married and had three children.
