The Border Security Force (BSF) and Marine Police, along with the state intelligence, on Saturday recovered five more packets of charas in an operation that began on Friday.
Three of the packets, each weighing around a kg, were found at Khidrat Bet, about 10 km off Jakhau Coast in Bhuj. A statement from BSF said the one of the packets was found in a plastic bag with “Cameroon” printed on it. The two others were found in packets marked “Afghan Product”, which was similar to those recovered earlier this month.
“Since recovery of charas packets, BSF and Marine Police have launched extensive joint search operations on the isolated bets off Jakhau Coast. The packets seem to have washed away with the waves from deep sea and reached Indian Coast,” the statement added.
