Over 232 more water samples were collected today from 14 different localities. Elsewhere, the VMC Health Department is still clueless. “The reports received today do not indicate any sort of water contamination. But we have not been able to find out the cause behind the outbreak. It is strange as the incident does not seem to have occurred because of food poisoning either. We are still trying to find out the cause,” said Mukesh Vaidya, assistant medical officer,Health Department.
