Three arrested in Surat for crude bombs found in Vadodara Surat: Surat police arrested three people,all residents in Vadodara,in connection with the six crude bombs recovered at Yakutpura of Vadodara on Saturday. Police said the trio were hiding at the house of a relative in the Saiyedpura area. They have been identified as brothers Mustak Khan Pathan, Mazhar Khan Pathan and their uncle,Moin Khan Pathan. They have been handed over to Vadodara police. Surat Crime Branch Inspector J M Patel said,We picked them up based on information from the Vadodara police. We raided a house where they were hiding. The house belong to their maternal uncle,Mohammedali Shaikh. Mustak and Mazhar work in a tailoring shop in the Yakutpura area in Vadodara. he said. New science curricula for Class IX to XII Ahmedabad: Students between Class 9 and 12 will follow a new curriculum for science subjects from the next academic session. Hasmukh Adhia,chairman of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board,said the new science curricula are quite similar to reputed curricula followed by other CBSE and ISC schools. The new curriculum will be for the four science subjects: Maths,Physics,Biology and Chemistry and will follow the broad topics laid out in the National Curriculum Framework, said Adhia. Woman ends life in Ahmedabad hospital AHMEDABAD: A divorcee woman,who had allegedly consumed acid to kill herself and was admitted in L G Hospital,reportedly hanged herself there on Saturday. A resident of Vatva Gam,the woman was said to be depressed after her divorce and had attempted suicide earlier too. The police are investigating. Student collapses during kabaddi,dies Ahmedabad: A student of City College reportedly collapsed while taking part in a kabaddi match in his college on Saturday morning and was rushed to the V S Hospital,where he was declared brought dead. Police said there were no physical injuries on the body of Paresh Bajrange (21),the deceased. The college faculty reportedly told police Bajrange was an alcoholic. The postmortem report was awaited.
