Meet And Greet

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Sunday met renowned art collector Anil Relia and distinguished cardiac surgeon Padma Shri Dr Tejas Patel and apprised the two about various welfare schemes of the government and its achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting was part of BJP’s Sampark thi Samarthan (Support through Contact) initiative to mark nine years of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. Under the initiative, party leaders meet various noted personalities to seek their support. On June 2, the CM met noted research scholar Joravarsinh Jadav, another Padma Shri awardee.

Blessing In Disguise

During summer season, the Gujarat forest department has to deal with various incidents of forest fires in the jungle. However, the state has witnessed a number of spells of unseasonal rains during summer this year because of which the forest fire incidents have remained in control. A senior forest officer said the spells of unseasonal rain must have caused trouble for farmers but it could be considered as a blessing in disguise as far as the forest department’s task of keeping forest fire incidents in check is concerned.
