(File)Days after the state government’s ‘Chintan Shibir’, the Gujarat Administrative Reforms Commission (GARC) is all set to release a new report, its sixth, which will focus on recruitment processes and mechanism for filling of vacant government positions across departments.
The report is coming at a time when the government, last week, handed out appointment letters to over 4,000 candidates for Class 3 positions and is planning to hire over 12,000 in the police force.
Expected this week, the GARC, established under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister’s Principal Advisor Hasmukh Adhia, has already released five reports since February with several recommendations ranging from establishing a public feedback system for ‘Ease of Doing Governance’, prioritise time management, single sign on for citizens for a single digital identity, meeting management protocol in the weekly review meetings, website upgradations and strengthening of e-gram and panchayat Jan Seva Kendras.
