Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Friday flagged off a 44-foot-long brass flag pole and other smaller six flag poles in Ahmedabad for the ‘pran pratistha’ of the Ram Mandir that is set to take place in Ayodhya on January 22.

Prior to the flag off, he also performed the ceremonial worship of the nagaru (temple drum) crafted by the All India Dabgar Samaj at Dariyapur. It was followed by a procession taken out by members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and a number of seers showcasing a tableau of the Ram Mandir.

The 56-inch nagaru made of gold foil will be installed in the courtyard of Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Following the ceremonial worship, the Chief Minister rang the bell, offering the nagaru to the Ram Mandir.

Minister of State Jagdish Vishwakarma, MLAs Kaushik Jain, Amit Thaker and Darshanaben Vaghela, and local corporators attended the event.
