Under the Act, all the clinical establishments have to compulsorily do registration by March 12, 2025.The state government Sunday decided to give a one-time option to accept Old Pension Scheme (OPS) to employees who were appointed under fixed-wage policy before April 1, 2005 and were regularised later.
This and a few other decisions related to pending demands of the employees were taken during the cabinet meeting.
Sharing the announcement, state minister Rushikesh Patel said that a one-time option to accept OPS will be given to all those employees who were appointed under fixed-wage policy of the state government before April 1, 2005 and were regularised later on. Employees recruited from April 1, 2005 are being offered the New Pension Scheme.
Patel said that the decision is going to benefit over 60,000 employees. He added that it will put a financial burden of over Rs 200 crore on the state exchequer. ENS
