Two coaches of a goods train carrying crude oil from Ratlam to Ankleshwar caught fire near Piplod in Dahod district on
Saturday,disrupting rail traffic for two hours. According to the
Devgadh police,fire tenders rushed to the spot and controlled the fire,which was caused due to a short circuit.
According to Inspector R K Ninama of Godhra railway police,the incident occurred around 11 am. We are yet to find out the extent of damage,but we have registered a complaint and are awaiting the railway authorities from Ratlam division to conduct an inspection, said Ninama. He added that no one was hurt in the incident and that rail traffic was restored in two hours time.
