The Queen of England must really enjoy Bollywood tracks.

Long live the Queen
The Queen of England must really enjoy Bollywood tracks. Why else would her birthday party, attended by the crème de la crème of the city, groove best at the latest dance numbers from our films? The British High Commission hosted the sovereign’s birthday party—a yearly affair and the biggest on the social calendar of the British locals—on Friday at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower in Apollo Bunder. The party kicked off early with a toast to the queen’s health. Of course, she missed her Mumbai party, but making up were Vicky Treadell,Deputy High Commissioner,Dr Vijay Mallya (playing hooky from the IPL in South Africa),Ratan Tata,Niranjan and Kamal Hiranandani,Shobhaa De,Yash Chopra,Rashmi Uday Singh and Devika Bhojwani dropped in to pass on their best wishes.

Showstopper VJM traded his signature whites for a trendy black ensemble and tried hard to maintain a low profile. Was it his absence from the IPL that caused his team Bangalore Royal Challengers to lose to King’s XI Punjab?
