Bus turns turtle on Sanand Highway,15 injured

Fifteen people were injured when a luxury bus turned turtle near Virochannagar Nagdev Mandir on the Viramgam-Sanand Highway area in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. The rural police stated that the bus driver is absconding.

Sub-Inspector Satish Jani,who is investigating the case,said: “We still do not know how many passengers were travelling. The bus was in full speed when the driver

tried to overtake a truck. And,in a bid to avert collision,he rammed into a tanker coming from the opposite side. The bus overturned.”

The injured passengers have been admitted to the Civil Hospital,V S Hospital,and some private hospitals.

The police have registered a case of reckless driving against the unidentified driver and have begun investigation.
