Boat rides,laser-shows at Kankaria to cost double

Boating rides and laser-shows at Kankaria lake will cost double as the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) that manages the largest public space in the city has decided to increase rates of the entry ticket for various entertainment facilities at Naginawadi within the lake.

Boating rides and laser-shows at Kankaria lake will cost double as the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) that manages the largest public space in the city has decided to increase rates of the entry ticket for various entertainment facilities at Naginawadi within the lake.

These facilities are being run since November 2004 and now the rates are doubled at the request from the contractor.

In March,the contractor urged the AMC to increase rates for entry to ultra fast action musical dancing fountain and boating rides. Conceding to this request,the AMC has agreed to double the rates,said committee chairman Bhupendra Patel.

Accordingly,three major rates at Kankaria lakefront rides will be as follows: entry ticket rate increased from Re 1 to Rs 2,ultra musical dancing fountain and multi-colour laser-show ticket increased from Rs 10 to Rs 20 while the rates for motor boating and pedal boating have also been jacked up from Rs 10 to Rs 20.
