The Surendranagar city police are likely to question Surendranagar district Congress presidents son in connection with posters featuring suspended DIG Sanjiv Bhatts photo and anti-Narendra Modi comments that sprung up near the chief ministers Sadbhavana Mission fast here on January 16.
A complaint in this regard was lodged at the city police station by sub-inspector J B Rana against unknown persons for trying to create disharmony and an atmosphere of bitterness through provocative posters on January 17.
The posters in Gujarati quoted Bhatt as saying,I have principles,but no power. You (Modi) have power,but no principles. There is no scope for compromise.
The posters,also carrying pictures of Bhatt in police uniform,came up across Surendranagar city on January 16.
When questioned by the police,the owner of the local press that printed the posters reportedly said the order was placed by local Congress leaders. During interrogation,Rudra Creations owner said he had received a print order from Naushad Solanki, said police sources.
Naushad is the son of Bhalji Solanki,the Surendranagar district Congress president. Naushad is likely to be called to police station for his statement.
