A nine-year-old boy,who had gone missing on Saturday,was found murdered in Varamama village,16 km from Vadodara,police said on Sunday.
The Class IV student,Mitesh Rathodia,had gone out to play on Saturday afternoon after returning from school. However,he did not return home till late in the night. On Sunday morning,Vishal Vasava,a neighbour,found Miteshs body lying in bushes near the village,Varnama police said.
There were injury marks on his body. However,the real cause of the death would be known only after post mortem report comes, Varnama police inspector Pravina Zala told The Indian Express. The body was sent to SSG Hospital here for post mortem.
Mitesh was the only son of Sanjay Rathodia,a resident of Varnama,who works with a private firm at nearby Por village. Police was informed about the incident only after the body was found.
The motive of the murder was not clear. Primarily,we do not have information that Rathodia had any dispute with anybody. We have started investigation into the case, Zala said.
No arrests or detention were made till late in the evening.
On the basis of Sanjay Rathodias complaint,Varnama police have registered a case of murder against unidentified persons and started investigation.
