The government’s 2009/10 budget was pro-growth and addressed the stimulus needs of the economy,Montek Singh Ahluwalia,the deputy chairman of the country’s Planning Commission,said on Wednesday.
“Yes,I think so,” he said when asked if the Monday’s budget provided required stimulus for the economy.

The commission would carry out a mid-term review of its current five-year economic plan,and that would be reflected in next year’s budget,Ahluwalia said.
