Thymol declines on reduced offtake

In thin trading,prices of thymol fell by Rs 20 per kg in the national capital.

In thin trading,prices of thymol fell by Rs 20 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming industries against fresh arrivals from producing regions.

Thymol prices fell by Rs 20 to conclude at Rs 1,140 per kg. Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down thymol prices in the wholesale chemical market here.

Ammonium chloride (50 kg) Rs 850- 2,200,acetic acid (1kg) Rs 42-52,ammonia bicarb (25 kg) Rs 450-700,boric acid technical (50 kg) Rs 5,500-6,000,borex granular (50 kg) Rs 2,400-2,800.

Caustic soda flake (50 kg) Rs 1,950-2,100,citric acid (50 kg) (China) Rs 3,200-3,400,citric acid deshi (50 kg) Rs 3,000-3,600,camphor slab (1 kg) Rs 360,camphor powder (1kg) Rs 320,glycerine (1 kg) Rs 150-320,hexamine (1kg) Rs 95,hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) Rs 40-60,menthol bold crystal (perkg) Rs 1,480,menthol flake (1 kg) Rs 1,425 and mentha oil (1kg) Rs 1,355.
