Gold Price Today: MCX Gold futures for June expiry inched 0.70 per cent higher, or Rs 507 to Rs 72,220 per 10 grams on Friday (May 13) while MCX Silver futures for July expiry inched 0.13 per cent lower to 84,800.00 for a kg.

Analysts have attributed the fall in the precious metal prices to weak global cues, PTI reported.

As per GoodReturns, the price of gold decreased by Rs 10 to stand at Rs 6,715 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 7,325 per gram for 24 karat gold (also called 999 gold).

Mumbai: The price of gold in Mumbai today is Rs 6,715 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 7,325 per gram for 24 karat gold.

Chennai: The price of gold in Chennai today is Rs 6,725 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 7,336 per gram for 24 karat gold.

Ahmedabad: The price of gold in Ahmedabad today is Rs 6,720 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 7,328 per gram for 24 karat gold.

Spot Gold

Gold prices fell retracing from a two-week high hit on last Friday as investors positioned for key US inflation reports that could shed light on the timing of the Federal Reserve’s first rate cut.

Spot gold was down 0.5 per cent at $2,348.45 per ounce. US gold futures fell 0.9 per cent to $2,354.

The two key US reports, producer price index (PPI) data and consumer price index (CPI), are scheduled for release on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
