Copper rises on increased industrial demand

Copper prices moved up Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metals market.

Copper prices moved up Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased industrial demand.

Traders said increased industrial demand and reports of a firming global trend mainly strengthen copper prices.

In the national capital,copper mixed scrap added Rs 2 to Rs 397 per kg.

The following are metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 109-113, nickel plate (4×4) 1,030-1,033,gun metal scrap 227,bell metal scrap 229,copper mixed scrap 397,chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 135,lead imported 133,aluminium ingots 127,sheet cutting 128,aluminium wire scrap 134 and aluminium utensils scrap 127.
