Limited edition Nissan Terrano Groove launched at Rs 11.45 lakh

Nissan has launched a special edition version of the Terrano SUV in India. To be built in a limited run of 250 units, the newly introduced model is billed as the ‘Terrano Groove’. It is based around the XL (O) variant of the standard car and offers benefits worth Rs 30,000 over the XL (O) variant without any increase in price.

The Nissan Terrano Groove is currently on sale across the country, carrying a price-tag of Rs 11.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Aesthetically, the Terrano Groove remains largely unchanged from the standard model.

That said, it receives a number of design upgrades such as a matte black roof wrap and chrome highlights for fog lamps, tail-lamps and tail-gate to distinguish it from the regular model.

Inside, Nissan has equipped the Terrano Groove with a high-end Rockford Fosgate sound system, branded fabric mats and LED scuff plates on the doors. Nissan insists that these features will make the Terrano more famous among ‘lifestyle-conscious buyers’.

Commenting on the occasion, Guillaume Sicard, President – Nissan India said: “The Terrano has established itself as a stylish premium compact SUV, which is equally at home in the outdoors as it is in the urban cityscape. With the Groove edition, we want to reach out to individuals who like their cars to reflect their dynamic lifestyle. We are confident that the new additions will make the Terrano even more appealing to them.”

On mechanical front, the special edition variant comes powered by the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder, K9K diesel engine that is available on the XL (O) variant of the Terrano. The engine develops 85PS of maximum power and 200 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and delivers a fuel economy of 20.45 km/l.

At the launch, Nissan also announced a new advertising campaign for the Terrano, which features Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
