Honda introduces AVN system for Amaze and Brio

Customers will also be able to stream music from their mobile device via Bluetooth on the car.

Honda has launched new variants of its Brio hatchback and Amaze sedan in India. The newly introduced variants come equipped with an all-new Audio-Video Navigation system along with upgrades like a redesigned speedometer console and newly designed ORVMs. The enhancements, says Honda, give these models a more upmarket and premium look than before.

The new variant in the Amaze will be offered as VX(O) featuring the Audio-Video Navigation (AVN) system. It will be available in manual transmission versions of both petrol and diesel variants of the sedan. In the Brio hatchback, Honda has introduced a new VX variant that sports all black interiors and comes equipped with the same AVN system as available with the Amaze VX(O). In addition, the new variants also feature a a new white illumination speedometer with blue gradation and new design power foldable ORVMs. The company also announced the power foldable ORVMs and rear defogger are now available from SX grade of the Amaze.

The AVN system offered in the Amaze and Brio features a 15.7 cm touch-screen loaded with maps, satellite-based voice guided navigation, and complete in-car entertainment connectivity features like DVD/CD, USB, AUX, i-POD, MP3, FM/AM.

The system also comes with integrated Bluetooth connectivity with which users can sync their phone with the car allowing them to answer or make call using the controls of the AVN system. Customers will also be able to stream music from their mobile device via Bluetooth on the car.
Announcing the new grades for Amaze and Brio, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India said: “The new grades with Audio Video Navigation have been introduced as a result of customer feedback we have received. We value this feedback and constantly try to accommodate the same in our models. We are also planning to offer a CNG option of the Amaze to our customers shortly.”
