Sushil Kumar Singh biography

Sushil Kumar Singh is a political leader from Bihar and a member of Bhartiya Janata Party. He is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Bihar’s Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat. He was born on June 27, 1963, in Aurangabad, Bihar, to his parents, Ramnaresh Singh and Pushpalata Singh. He holds Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Anugrah Narayan College, Patna, Magadh University.

He won the 2009 Lok Sabha elections on Janata Dal United's ticket from the Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat. He quit Janata Dal United to join Bhartiya Janata Party in 2014 and managed to retain his Lok Sabha seat in both the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

In the 17th Lok Sabha, he is a member of the Ministry of Road, Transport, and Highways' Consultative Committee, Committee on Public Undertakings, Committee on Petitions, and Standing Committee on Coal and Steel.
