Sarfaraz Khan

Royal Challengers Bangalore packed a suprising punch during the IPL Retention in January 2018, when they announced the uncapped Sarfaraz Khan as their third retained player after Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The 20-year old first made the mark when he was just 12 years old in 2009, scoring a blistering 439 in his maiden Haris Shield match. The Mumbai batsman continued to perform in Ranji Trophy and was eventually included in India's squad for the Under-19 World Cup in 2014, where he impressed with his batting performances and his wide range of stroke plays. He amassed 211 runs in the tournament at an average of 70.33 at a strike rate of 105. His break in IPL came in 2015 season when he was bought by RCB for Rs 50 lakh, making him the youngest player to play in the T20 league, at 17. In 12 innings in IPL, he has scored 177 runs at an average of 29.5 but his strike rate of 173.53 is his biggest asset.
