Eight Naxals neutralised in encounter in Telangana

Bhadrachalam (Telangana), Mar 01 (ANI): The Greyhounds Division of the Telangana Police neutralised eight Naxals in an encounter on Tuesdayon the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border. Telangana Maoist party secretary Hari Bhushan and Divisional Commander Lachhanna were among those eliminated. An AK 47, two SLR and three 303 rifles were recovered from Putapadu near Cherla. The body of Naxals has been shifted to Bhadrachalam.

23 Naxals surrender in Chhattisgarh

Bastar (Chhattisgarh), Feb 28 (ANI): Twenty-three Naxals, including two women, on Sunday surrendered in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh citing “ill-treatment” by senior cadres. The Maoists, who surrendered before senior police officials, said they were “frustrated” by the ill-treatment meted out to them. Bastar Collector Amit Kataria said that an encouragement amount of Rs 10,000 would be given to each of them, besides facilities under the surrender and rehabilitation policy.

Jharkhand: 4 Naxals killed, two CRPF jawans injured

Ranchi, Feb 19 (ANI): At least four Naxals were killed and two CRPF jawans were injured in an encounter in Taimara Ghati on the NH-33 in Ranchi on Friday morning. The injured jawans have been taken to a nearby hospital. The operation began on specific inputs around 9pm on Thursday night and ended on Friday morning.
