A film based on the book written by Mahasweta Devi’s son Nabarun Bhattacharya has been refused clearance by the Kolkata office of the Board of Film Certification on various grounds,one being that the film contains disparaging remarks against Stalin,the ruler of erstwhile Soviet Union.
