Mohan Kundariya, born on 6th September 1951, is a prominent figure in Indian politics, known for his dedication and service to the people. He hails from Rajkot, Saurashtra, India.
His political journey began with his election to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from the Tankara assembly constituency of Rajkot district. He served as Minister of State from May 2014 to 5 July 2016. On 9th November 2014, Kundariya assumed office as the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare in the Government of India under the Prime Ministership of Narendra Modi and served in this role until 5th July 2016.
His Lok Sabha journey began with his election to the 16th Lok Sabha from the Rajkot Constituency, Gujarat. He was elected in the 2014 Indian general election as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He retained his seat once again in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by a margin of over three lakh votes.
Twelve of his family members, including his sister, perished in a horrific occurrence during the Morbi bridge collapse in 2022, comprising of three men, four women, and five children.
