Dr. Mahendra Munjapara, born on September 21, 1968, is a name that resonates with service, leadership, and dedication in India's political landscape. Hailing from Surendranagar, Gujarat, he has made significant strides in his medical professional and political career. He completed his M.D. in General Medicine and Therapeutics, laying a solid foundation for his medical career.

Before stepping into the political arena, he was a practising doctor in Surendranagar. As a cardiac and echocardiologist, he served the community with dedication and professionalism. His medical career also saw him as a central council member of the Indian Medical Association.

His political journey began with his election to the 17th Lok Sabha from the Surendranagar Lok Sabha constituency, Gujarat. Representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by a significant margin of over two lakh votes, securing his first term in the lower house of the Indian Parliament. On 7th July 2021, he assumed office as the Minister of State for Women and Child Development and AYUSH.
