M Kathir Anand biography

Durai Murugan Kathir Anand, also known as Kathir Anand, is a political leader from Tamil Nadu and a member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. He is the incumbent Member of Parliament from the Vellore constituency. He was born on January 19, 1975, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu.

He is the son of veteran Tamil Nadu politician Durai Murugan and holds an M.B.A. degree in International Business from Baldwin Wallace, OHIO, USA.

He made his first appearance in national politics when he contested and won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the Vellore constituency as a representative of DMK. He won the election by a slender margin of just over eight thousand votes.

He has been accused of tax evasion by the Income Tax Department. However, the case is still in court, and no conviction has been made as of yet.
