Currently, the Capital has 678 judges of which 299, or 44 per cent, are women. This is against 33.81 per cent women judges across the lower courts recorded in 2018.

More than 43,000 people have applied for just over 800 vacancies for clerks in lower courts of Punjab,Haryana and Chandigarh. Against a total of 804 vacancies,43,012 applications have been received by the Punjab and Haryana High Court,from among others,post graduates,self employed and government servants for the posts.
