Karisma Kapoor: A Legacy in Bollywood Karisma Kapoor, born June 25, 1974, is a prominent figure in Hindi cinema, enjoying a successful career spanning over three decades. Daughter of actors Babita and Randhir Kapoor, and sister to Kareena Kapoor, she hails from a renowned Bollywood family. Kapoor's debut in Prem Qaidi (1991) marked the beginning of a prolific career. She quickly rose to prominence, starring in numerous box-office successes including Jigar, Andaz Apna Apna, Raja Babu, and Coolie No. 1. Her roles in the romantic hits Raja Hindustani (1996) and Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) solidified her status as a leading actress, earning her a Filmfare Best Actress Award for the former and both the National Film Award and Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for the latter. Her collaborations with David Dhawan, resulting in five successful comedies, further cemented her position.
