Sopore (J-K), Jan 22 (ANI): In a major breakthrough ahead of Republic Day celebrations in Kashmir, security forces on Saturday busted a network of the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM) in Sopore area of north Kashmir and arrested five militants, who were planning attacks on VIPs and security forces. District Inspector General Garib Das said following a tip off, they arrested a wanted militant of HuM outfit, Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi and his accomplice. He added that Sofi was the only terrorist of the module and also shared that he has been doing some underground activities for the last three-four years.

New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday took a dig at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after posters praising West Bengal were seen in New Delhi on Sunday. He said that instead of pasting posters in the national capital, Trinamool Congress (TMC) should paste them in Malda or in places where communal clashes are taking place. He added that TMC should stop taking advantage of communal tensions.
