Danish Ali biography

Kunwar Danish Ali is a political leader from Uttar Pradesh and a former Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha Lok Sabha constituency. He was born on April 10, 1975, in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, to his parents, Kunwar Jafar Ali and Nafees Jafar. He completed his graduation from Jamia Milia Islamia University.

He was a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party from 2019 to 2023. On December 9, 2023, he was suspended from the party for not following party protocols, and his actions were deemed to be anti-party activity.

Earlier, He came into the headlines when BJP MP Ramesh Bhiduri made Islamophobic slurs towards him in the Parliament House. He said he will resign from his seat if no actions are taken against the BJP MP. However, no actions were taken as Bhiduri got off with just an apology.

He began his political career with the secular Janata Dal and later rose to the position of general secretary within the organisation. He went on to join the Bahujan Samaj Party on March 16, 2019. A week later, the Bahujan Samaj Party declared that he would contest from the Amroha constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He defeated Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kanwar Singh Tanwar to secure his Lok Sabha seat.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he contested from the same seat on Congress's ticket but was unsuccessful in retaining his seat.
