Delhi Confidential: BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri on truth and timing

Not quite apologetic but only a veiled reference to break the ice. South Delhi BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri on Tuesday said his outburst against Lok Sabha MP Danish Ali (expelled from the party by BSP) in Parliament was because he was “pained”. “Main badnaam hoon (I am infamous)…people say goodie goodie things… but not the truth. (Madan Lal) Khurana ji used to say that ‘tell the truth, but at the right time’. Everyone knows that ‘Ram naam satya hai’, but if you say so at someone’s wedding, you will be beaten up; this I sometimes end up doing… when I am pained by something,” he said.

Up For Grabs

After Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul’s retirement last month, his 19, Akbar Road, residence is now up for grabs. A double-storey house with a large office space, this bungalow is now likely to be assigned to Justice Sanjiv Khanna, the next in line to be Chief Justice of India after CJI D Y Chandrachud retires in November 2024.
