Too many deer at Delhi's Deer Park, some may be moved to leopard territory

According to a senior forest department official, the department intends to move between 300 and 400 deer to the wildlife sanctuary to promote ecotourism and curb the possibility of inbreeding depression at the Deer Park.
Soon at Asola Bhatti sanctuary, e-cycles and golf carts on rent for visitors

A senior official of the forest department said the specifics on how many people would be allowed into the sanctuary at one time as well as the pathways that will be made available are still being worked out.

The project, which began in 2020, aims to recreate 10 microhabitats or vegetation types of the northern Aravallis on 12 hectares of land at the sanctuary. Additionally, grasslands are being restored on around two hectares.
