Ashok Kumar Rawat biography
Ashok Kumar Rawat is a political leader from Uttar Pradesh and a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party. He is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh’s Misrikh Lok Sabha constituency. He was born on November 26, 1975, in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
His political career started with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), where he served as a Member of Parliament from the Misrikh Lok Sabha constituency after winning the 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
He lost the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and decided to switch alliance to the Bhartiya Janata Party, and was able to regain his Lok Sabha seat back in 2019 after defeating Neelu Satyarthi of his former party by a margin of 100672 votes.
His exceptional performance in questioning and participation in parliamentary proceedings is noteworthy. He was ranked 3rd in the number of questions asked in the 15th Lok Sabha, highlighting his active engagement in legislative discussions and his commitment to accountability and transparency in governance.
