Advocate M S Khan, who is representing the accused, informed the court that two applications were already filed in this court, one for the accused's educational certificates and stationery items such as notepad and pencil, and the other for a proper" soft copy of the chargesheet.

Aaftab’s applications alleged that he was “falsely implicated” in the case and that the prosecution “intentionally” provided a digital copy of the chargesheet “which cannot be read”.

According to the chargesheet, in 2021, Shraddha informed her college friend that she had a fight with Aaftab, who she feared would “kill her if she stayed even for one more night".

On November 12, Shraddha’s treatment slip by dentist Dr Ishan Mota of Mumbai was seized from Aaftab's home. The dentist had told the police that “he did the root canal in two of her molar teeth”.

The revelations were made on the basis of Aaftab's disclosure statement to the police. Denying the allegations in the chargesheet, his lawyer, M S Khan, said: “We will make our case during trial.”

According to the chargesheet, Aftab Poonawala told police that he bought a fridge on May 19 so that he can dispose of the body parts as per his convenience.
