A Ganesha Murthi biography
Avinashi Ganeshamurthi is a political leader from Tamil Nadu and a member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. He is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Erode constituency. He was born on June 10, 1947, to his parents, Shri Avinashi and Late Smt. Sarathambal.He completed his B.A. in Economics from Thayagaraja College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
He started his political career as a Member of the State Legislative Assembly after winning the election from Modakkurichi Constituency. He was elected to the lower house of the Indian Parliament for the first time in 1998 from Palini.
He won his second term as an MP from the Erode constituency in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. His third term as an MP came in 2019 when he again contested and won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Erode constituency.
Despite winning the Lok Sabha elections three times, he has never won the elections back-to-back but has still maintained his position as one of the most prominent leaders of Tamil Nadu politics.
