In a rare appearance veteran actress Sadhana, who has been away from the public eye for a while now, took to the ramp on Sunday (May 11) for a fashion show by designers Shaina NC and Vikram Phadnis to support the cause of cancer and AIDS patients.

Sadhana, who is the aunt to actresses Karishma and Kareena Kapoor, rose to fame with 1960's romantic film 'Love in Simla'. She fell in love with the film’s director, R. K. Nayyar and finally after much opposition from her family married him on 7 March 1966.

Sadhana was credited for making the fringe hairstyle, a look that she sported in 'Love in Simla' and many movies to follow, a trend in the country.
