Roger Federer set to play for Virat Kohli co-owned UAE Royals in IPTL 2

With the presence of Rafael Nadal in the Indian Aces, Roger Federer will no longer turn up for the franchise from this year onwards.

Swiss tennis sensation Roger Federer will turn up for the UAE Royals in the second season of the IPTL which is scheduled to be held from Dec 2 to Dec 20.

The announcement was made in Dubai on Thursday in the presence of Mahesh Bhupathi, Managing Director – IPTL, and co-owner Virat Kohli, Neelesh Bhatnagar and Sachin Gadoya.

Federer will join the likes of Goran Ivanisevic, 2001 Wimbledon Champion; Ana Ivanovic, the 2008 French Open winner and current world no. 7 and Daniel Nestor, winner of 88 men’s doubles titles.

Federer, the current world no. 2, played for the Indian Aces in the inaugural season of IPTL.
