The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday issued notice to Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal for being part of a meeting that decided to amend the Mullanpur master plan and construct a 100-feet wide road leading to the upcoming Metro Eco Green Resorts at Palanpur in SAS Nagar.
The resort is owned by the CM’s son and Punjab deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal and his wife, Union minister Harsimrat Kaur.
The petitioner informed the court that the CM, despite having a “direct conflict of interest resulting in bias”, had chaired the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority’s meeting wherein a decision to amend the master plan and build the road was approved.
